Ahmed Sharif (13 February 1921 - 24 February 1999) was a Bangladeshi linguist, renowned scholar and one of the pioneers of Bengali literature and culture in the late twentieth century. He started his professional life as a college teacher (1945-49). He was also one of the architects of the formulation and implementation of the Dhaka University Ordinance 1973.
