The Society of Neurology, Psychiatry and Neurosurgery of Chile (Sonepsyn), is a nonprofit Scientific Society, founded in 1932 and with legal personality and statutes approved since October 9, 1952, with number 5745 of the Ministry of Justice of Chile. Since then, it is focused on the dissemination, improvement and development of the medical specialties it represents. These functions are performed on three main levels: Scientific Development, educational aspects and trade union aspects. However, our Society shares with the Medical College, a fundamental role in the observation and development of the different ethical aspects of our work, always trying to disseminate the main guidelines in this regard. Sonepsyn, is a member of the World Federation of Neurology, the World Association of Psychiatry, Psychiatric Association for Latin America and has official delegates to these and other international corporations of specialists. ...
