Aadhaar Enabled Biometric Attendance System (AEBAS) project was initiated by the Government of India under its Digital India Initiative in the year 2014. AEBAS application was created for all Government employees who are registered on the attendance portal to mark their attendance. This ensures employee punctuality and transparency.
